Mangan (Sikkim)

Where the University lives: North Sikkim's quiet, spectacular north.

Orchid University sits in North Sikkim's Mangan District, surrounded by Himalayan forest and mountain views. Here is where we are and how to reach us.

Orchid University campus

Orchid University is located at Upper Singhik Malling, Dzong Koti, in the Mangan District of North Sikkim, with the postal code 737116. Mangan, the district headquarters, is the nearest town and serves as the gateway to some of the most pristine landscapes in the Indian Himalayas.

This is a setting built for focus and growth. Pine and rhododendron forests, terraced slopes, and clear mountain views surround the campus, with the greater Kanchenjunga range to the west. The cool climate, clean air, and unhurried pace of North Sikkim make it a rare place to study, think, and build community away from the noise of the city.

How to reach us

  • By air: the nearest airport is Pakyong (Sikkim); Bagdogra (West Bengal) is the major airport, after which travel continues by road.
  • By rail: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest major railhead, connected onward to Gangtok and North Sikkim by road.
  • By road: from Gangtok, Mangan is reached by mountain highway; the campus lies near Upper Singhik, a short distance beyond Mangan town.

Permits and seasonal road conditions apply to parts of North Sikkim, so plan travel in advance. For directions or help planning your journey, call 1800 309 9996 or email connect@orchiduniversity.ac.in.
