The Campus

Built in Mangan, where Indians have come to learn for two thousand years.

Orchid rises in the foothills of the Himalayas, in North Sikkim. The campus is deliberately compact and vertical — a density that makes cross-pollination inevitable: an Agriculture Learner who knows a Design Learner who knows a Hospitality Learner. That, too, is how Orchid educates.

Sikkim is among the cleanest, most peaceable and most strategically significant states in India — distance from metropolitan noise, air worth breathing, and a pace of day that supports focussed study and steady habits.

The Model

The conventional model — and the Orchid model.

Three or four years of theory, a scramble for placement in the final semester, a first job that feels like a foreign country. Orchid was designed as the alternative.

The Conventional Model

  • Theory-heavy learning
  • Limited industry interaction
  • Delayed career readiness
  • One-size-fits-all pathways
  • Degree-first mindset

The Orchid Model

  • Academic + practical learning
  • Strong industry integration
  • Career readiness from Day One
  • Flexible, multiple pathways
  • Degree + skills + livelihood mindset
Learn While You Earn

Education as an investment, not an expense.

For many families, higher education comes with financial pressure, delayed returns and uncertainty. Orchid's Learn While You Earn model lets students pursue approved academic programmes while gaining structured, stipend-backed exposure through internships, apprenticeships and on-the-job learning.

01

Five flexible pathways

Academic, Professional, Skill-Integrated, Modular, and Working-Learner pathways — because one future does not fit all. Orchid bends toward the Learner, not the other way around.

02

Stackable credentials

Certificate → Diploma → Degree. Each step is a complete, recognised credential; each builds on the one before. Learners can step out with a credential at every rung — and step back in to climb further.

03

Careers from the first semester

Workplace expectations, communication, digital tools and industry orientation are introduced early, so employability develops progressively — not suddenly in the final year.

04

An 800+ partner network

Real workplaces — factories, hospitals, hotels, studios, farms and innovation centres — where the most meaningful learning happens alongside the classroom.

The Working World

Ten Schools, one working campus.
