Compassion as curriculum.

Orchid exists for the learners the system has left waiting — first-generation students, working youth, and families for whom education must lead somewhere. Its boldest idea: an intergenerational campus where children, students and elders learn together.

The Gap We Exist For

The promise, and the gap.

More than half of India is under thirty. Every year, a generation the size of a mid-sized country reaches the age at which a working life begins — and a future is either taken up or quietly let go. Behind that fact stands a personal question: will every young Indian capable of more receive the education to do more? Orchid was built around the belief that the answer should be yes.

01

The dropout wall

A large majority of Indian youth never transition into higher education — largely due to financial constraints and lack of access. Orchid's zero-waiting, earn-while-you-learn model is built to dissolve exactly this barrier.

02

Degrees without direction

Traditional education often lacks industry linkage, leaving graduates unprepared for real job demands. At Orchid, industry is a co-owner of the curriculum.

03

Poverty made generational

When education is unaffordable, aspiration is abandoned — and disadvantage is inherited. A stipend from Day One turns education from an expense into an investment.

04

India's GER mission

Every learner Orchid brings in — rural, working, first-generation — is a direct contribution to India's Gross Enrolment Ratio and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The Intergenerational Campus

Where children, students and elders learn together.

Orchid is envisioned as India's only university with an on-campus orphanage and old-age home — a deliberate design where compassion is part of the curriculum.

  • Children grow up inside a university campus, fully supported from early childhood through school
  • Students mentor, tutor and support — earning empathy credits as part of their education
  • Elders bring experience, patience and perspective into everyday campus life
  • A culture of gratitude, respect and service — youth learning with humility and responsibility
