Code of Conduct
Shared standards that keep our community safe and respectful.
Our Code of Conduct sets clear, fair expectations for student behaviour, grounded in respect, integrity, and the wellbeing of the whole University community.
A great university runs on trust. The Orchid University Code of Conduct exists to protect that trust by setting clear, fair expectations for how students treat one another, their teachers, the campus, and the wider community. It reflects our values of Student First, Integrity Always, and Compassion Centered, and it applies to everyone equally.
What we expect
- Respect for fellow students, faculty, staff, and visitors, free from harassment or discrimination.
- Academic honesty in all coursework, examinations, and research, with no tolerance for plagiarism or malpractice.
- Responsible use of campus facilities, residences, laboratories, and digital systems.
- Care for the environment of our Himalayan campus and the surrounding community.
- Compliance with University regulations and the laws of the land.
The Code is enforced through fair, transparent processes consistent with UGC norms and the principles of natural justice. Students are heard, due process is followed, and outcomes aim to be educative as well as corrective. Conduct expectations and disciplinary procedures are published for students and updated as needed.
If you have a question about the Code of Conduct, or need clarity on what it means for a specific situation, write to connect@orchiduniversity.ac.in or call 1800 309 9996. When everyone holds to the same standards, everyone is free to learn well.
