Clear answers to the questions students and parents ask us most.
Answers to the questions families ask most — about eligibility, how Learn & Earn works, fees and scholarships, hostel and campus life, documents and placements. If your question isn't here, our helpline team is glad to help.
Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from prospective students and their families. For anything not covered here, call our admission helpline on 18003099996 or email admissions@orchiduniversity.ac.in.
Who is eligible to apply?
Eligibility depends on the programme level. Diplomas and skill-based pathways generally require Class 10 or Class 12; undergraduate and professional degrees require Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board; postgraduate degrees require a relevant bachelor's degree. Our counsellors confirm the exact criteria for your chosen course.
How does the Learn & Earn model actually work?
You begin a real apprenticeship from Day One of your programme and earn a stipend while you study. Your degree is work-integrated, so classroom learning and on-the-job experience run together throughout, supported by our 800+ industry partners.
What are the fees, and is financial support available?
Fees are deliberately affordable, and the Day One stipend helps you fund your studies. We share a detailed fee structure on enquiry, and merit-based and need-based support is available for deserving students. Contact finance@orchiduniversity.ac.in for specifics.
Is hostel accommodation available?
Our campus is located at Upper Singhik Malling, Dzong Koti, Mangan District, North Sikkim. For current details on residential and hostel facilities for Batch 2026, please speak with our admissions team, who will share the latest options.
What documents do I need to apply?
Typically your academic mark sheets, a valid photo ID, and a recent photograph. Depending on your programme and level, a few additional documents may be requested — your counsellor will give you a precise checklist.
Will Orchid help me find a job?
Employment is built into our model. Because you train with real employers from Day One through the SEEL Framework, many students move into full roles with their apprenticeship partners, and you graduate with both a recognised degree and genuine work experience.
